Self-defense techniques help Idaho Shōrin-ryū students develop their skills by allowing them to practice with different threatening situations and experiment with "what-if scenarios". We want our students to keep an open mind, and have fun throughout their experience at Idaho Shōrin-ryū Dojo.

Idaho Shōrin-ryū teaches the classical forms of modern Okinawan martial arts, which is considered one of the oldest styles of karate. Our carefully designed programs for children ages 4-8 year olds will improve your child’s performance in other sports as well as improving study habits and increasing overall concentration. In addition to this, by building self confidence, self respect, and self discipline, we are helping young people learn to deal with the many problems they face growing up in today’s world.
